MORGANTOWN, W. Va- The job market has yet to fully rebound and college graduates are wondering what it will take to break into their career field. There are currently more college graduates working minimum wage jobs than ever before.

One office at West Virginia University is there to help students along the way. WVU Career Services host career fairs but also can help students determine a major, conduct mock interviews, and review resumes.

On March 19th and 20th they will hold and career fair in the Mountlair ballrooms that is open to all students. The purpose of the days event was to prepare students for the upcoming career fair.

WVU senior, Taylor Patterson says, “You know I’m just doing this for the first time and they know a lot of the answers it can help you, and it makes you more comfortable.”

Director of WVU career services hopes students get involved early in their college career. He sees a significant improvement in those students who begin getting help from career services in their sophomore or junior year.

College graduates are beginning their careers with as much as $30,000 worth of debt and many aren’t sure if they have a job or not until several weeks after graduation.
